ALLEN HORINE'S WORK

Touch the Clouds: Still using the FL 10 software, on this piece he used no synths, and it can all be played on actual instruments. He says the only impossible bit is a slide in the piano part in the beginning. 2011

African Trance Allen says of this piece: It is one of my first trance beats; I tried using more African/world drum sounds. I like the steady beat, and how the sounds overlap. 2011

Won't Stop Allen did the background on this grooving tune. Evan took Allen's work and added the melody and lyrics, including some overdubbed harmonies and he and Dan worked out the rap lyrics from Dan's ideas. Dan is the rapper!  Evan & Dan did the mix.   A truly uplifting message and a great example of collaboration! (Here is Allen's composition by itself, before Evan and Dan added to it.  It was called Troubles From the Past.) 2011

Go to Allen's new website for some of his creations with the software, FL Studio 9.  Interesting sound patterns and grooves!!

Legend of Time Some interesting ideas and harmonic twists in this one!

Computers and New Ideas Two short works created on vacation in New Hampshire 2010

More Than Hard The title of this piece came first, then the musical ideas. Written for electric guitar, bass guitar and drum set.  2010

Alt A is Allen's first work.  Looking for something musical to do while being laid off his drums due to a shoulder injury, Allen began messing around with some ideas and Alt A was created. 2010

EVAN HUGHES' WORK:

ALLEN, EVAN & DAN

Won't Stop Allen did the background on this grooving tune.  Evan took Allen's work and added the melody and lyrics, including some overdubbed harmonies and he and Dan H. worked out the rap lyrics from Dan's ideas. Dan is the rapper!  Evan & Dan did the mix.   A truly uplifting message and a great example of collaboration! 2011

THE HEART THROBS

Feeling Depressed - Evan Hughes, Matt Poulsen & Tucker Moody have been working together in their band since 4th grade.  Generally they use guitar, keyboard and drums, but for this tune they put together a computer generated accompaniment.  Evan wrote the melody and accompaniment and all three colaborated on the lyrics.

EVAN & JACKSON

Forget the Rest - an original song for synthesized background and two vocalists. This song was played at the dance earlier this year! 2010
