Calendar of Meetings & Gigs

Always check the clipboard and listen to announcements for last minute changes.  If you sign in on the clipboard for each meeting, you won't be surprised!  (see below for a sample scenario)

Meetings are a combination of learning new techniques, working on certifications, setting up for gigs and producing what we have recorded.  It is assumed that you will come in some other times to work as well.

The gigs that we are recording are noted here.  Not everyone works all gigs; as a matter of fact, usually we can only use two or three people, so be sure you turn in your permission slip early for the gigs you want to work -- first come first chosen! See slips for certification requirements.

Imagine the following scenario...  You made plans for getting a ride home after STAR Crew meeting even though your parents are working late and you decided that right after school was a really good time to see your science teacher about the project.  You are set to go!  So 3:30 comes and you confidently walk into the band room for the meeting.  WHAT???  The meeting is just getting over??  How could that be??? A fellow crew member shows you the note on the clipboard (but you didn't check in) and Ms Muffitt tells you that the time change was announced both yesterday and today, before and after school (that is 4 times).  How annoying.  Now you are stuck here for another hour with nothing to do and it is a gorgeous day to be outdoors.   Moral of the story: check in on the clipboard every Thursday.
